Published: 27 Jul 2026, 10:08 AM | Year: 2026
July 25 & 26, 2026 - the Accreditation Panel Training Workshop on the Evaluation of Programmes Delivered via Open and Distance Learning (ODL), Offshore, and Industrial Mode was successfully conducted at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan City Campus.
The workshop was organised to strengthen the competency, consistency, and professional readiness of MBOT accreditation panel members in evaluating academic programmes delivered through non-traditional modes, namely Open and ODL, Offshore, and Industrial Mode.
Throughout the two-day programme, participants were exposed to the latest MBOT accreditation requirements, evaluation methodologies, structured reporting practices, and key assessment principles. The sessions emphasised evidence-based evaluation, consistent interpretation of accreditation standards, and alignment with national quality assurance requirements as well as international best practices.
The workshop also provided a valuable platform for panel members to enhance their professional judgement, exchange experiences, and share best practices in programme accreditation. Through interactive discussions and practical evaluation exercises, participants further strengthened their capability to conduct objective, credible, and high-quality accreditation assessments, supporting the continuous enhancement of technology and technical education programmes under MBOT.
