MBOT COURTESY VISIT TO AL-MADINAH INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY STRENGTHENS STRATEGIC COLLABORATION IN TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION

Jun 8, 2026 - Al-Madinah International University recently welcomed a courtesy visit from the Malaysia Board of Technologists as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration in technology education and professional development. The MBOT delegation was received by Asst. Prof. Ts. Dr. Ammar Bathich, Chief Executive Officer of Al-Madinah International University, together with members of the University's management team.

The MBOT delegation was led by its Registrar, Dr. Md Fauzi bin Md Ismail, accompanied by Director of TTAS, Ts. Dr. Nor Aznan bin Mohd Nor, and Assistant Director, Auni Batrisya Mohamad Zaihan. The visit provided a valuable platform for both parties to exchange views on enhancing the quality and relevance of technology-related academic programmes in meeting industry needs.

Discussions focused on programme accreditation, professional recognition pathways for academic staff, and initiatives to strengthen industry-academia collaboration. MBOT also shared its latest initiative on the conversion of Computing and Information Technology degree programmes towards Seoul Accord recognition through a streamlined assessment approach, aimed at supporting institutions in achieving internationally recognised standards.

The engagement reflects a shared commitment between MBOT and Al-Madinah International University to produce competent, future-ready graduates while advancing the quality of technology education and professional practice in Malaysia.
